I've found my furever family!

Hi! My Name Is Speckles

We're happy to tell you that Speckles has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Cats Page to see the cats currently available.

Hi there, my name is Speckles and I'm a 1-year-old pretty Tortico.  Did you ever hear of that term?  It means I have the markings of a Tortie and a Calico.  You know some Tortie's have this stigma of "tortitude"?  Well not me.  That's where the sweetness comes in - from my Calico trait.  I'm a very quiet, lovable girl that just wants to be held.

I was found in a shelter and the Warden thought I was pregnant.  He saw my "round belly" and concluded there's babies.  Thankfully, there were no babies, but I just had some extra love handles.  How dare he announce to the world I got a round belly.  You know us girls can get miffed by that weight comment.

Treasured Animal Rescue waited to see (just in case) any babies grew in my round belly and thankfully, I just like food.  I went to the vet, and she took good care of me and said "Speckles, you are healthy and going to have a happy life".

I love looking out the window at what's going outside.  I never want to be outdoors again.  I like laying in the sun and feeling the warmth.  I give my foster Mom head butts to say pet me and she abides.  I like it when she lounges on the couch because I get to hang out with her.

I like to stay in the kitchen when my foster Grandma cooks.  I help her.  When Grandma drops things, like my favorite - chicken, I help her clean up and eat the chicken.  Um, chicken is my favorite!

There are other cats here and I am ok with them.  Dogs, well they sure are loud so when my foster Mom has me on her lap all the dogs are outside so I don't get spooked.  But at night time it's just me & my foster Mom.  Well, there are other fur-babies all wanting lap time but I get the lap and when we wake up my foster Mom finds me cuddling with a dog.  Who says dogs & cats don't get along?

I'm like every other kitty in the world. I love to play in boxes and I can keep myself entertained.

I hope one day I have a family of my own that will let me be their lap kitty and I can give you all the head butts you want.  Maybe one day I might show you my Tortie attitude but for now I'm just a sweet, quiet girl that wants to be loved.

Can you love me?

xoxo,

Speckles
