Hi there! My name is Gayle King, and I am 5 months old. Thanks for reading my profile. My rescue story might sound like any other young kitty looking for a forever home but mine is a bit different.
Did you ever hear of "kitten season"? Well, that's where there are too many kitties being born and they are found everywhere because Mama's are outside having babies. Someone found me and brought me to the shelter. The nice workers took good care of me and every day when they cleaned my cage they said, "your family is out there - just wait".
One day Treasured Animal Rescue Volunteers came to the shelter, and they go into the cat room. Their eyes and I think their hearts went right to my Bestie Oprah Winfrey. While they were looking at my friend, I stuck my paws out as far as I could, so they knew I was trying to get their attention. Oh, I got their attention! But this is where my story gets better! Next cage over was my Bestie - Oprah Winfrey. Friends stick together so TAR said both girls get their Freedom Ride!
My bestie and I are so lucky to be in a foster home. The first few days we hid because there's a lot of activity but when everyone settles down at night that's our favorite time. We like to cuddle with our foster Mom and one of the teenage boys. I like to nudge my foster Mom and nibble on her chin for attention. If she's holding her phone, I paw it away so I can have both hands cuddling me.
I love to be petted and cuddle all the time. I purr really aloud when I get my pettings. I'm so happy and when my foster family holds me, they tell me there is a forever family out there for me. When you come meet me the way to tell me apart from Oprah is I have very cool blonde highlights. You know, some woman pay big bucks for those highlights!
Maybe my bestie can come with or maybe they will have other cats that I can make friends with. I'm a friendly kitty girl so I'm ok just as long as my new family gives me lots of cuddling!
