Meow! My name is Blackberry, and I am about 2 years old. I'm a pretty black kitty. I have shiny black fur. Some of it is short but part of my body & tail is fluffy - so medium to long. My jet-black fur is going to intrigue you to read more about me.
I was found as a stray right before our weather got really cold. I'm so glad someone turned me into a local shelter because I didn't have to struggle to stay warm or find food. The shelter took great care of me, but they waited for a couple months until a rescue group came to help me. See, black cats and especially black adult cats don't get many people looking at them. Many people like the little kittens and I'm past that stage. But just because I'm 2 doesn't mean I don't like to play - I do! I'm a vocal gal that will tell you it's time to play and especially when to pet me. I love to be petted!
Who would have thought a cat that was once a stray can be so happy in a foster home! I get to hang out on my foster Mom's bed during the day and I get all the cuddles and loving I need. Who needs anything more?
Well, maybe a new family that would continue with all this loving. Are you looking for a kitty that would cuddle with you, head butt you for more cuddles? Well, that's me. I might not be a baby, but I have a lifetime ahead of me that I would love to share with a family.
