Hi there, my name is Lil Dude and you might have seen how much I weigh. A whopping 7#s. I am a 2 1/2 years old Chihuahua.
My pictures give you the impression I am sad, but pictures are deceiving. Sure, one day I was sad, and I was also REALLY scared. See, I was staying at a shelter because my family brought me there. Oh, the story is a doozy so my foster Mom can tell you the details. But when my foster Mom came to meet me, she held me and my shaking went away. But my rescue story got better.
I get my Freedom Ride and when I came into my foster home there are other dogs, cats and these Humans called Teenagers. I found true happiness. There are 3 boy Teenagers (19, 13 and 11). They each take turns letting me sleep with them and the first few days I didn't need to walk anywhere because they carried me everywhere.
I was so happy my foster family took me out of the shelter and when we all sit around watching TV or have family relaxing time, I get to sleep on someone's lap. That's where you might see the pictures of me curled up. Trust me, I am very happy & content. I might look sad, but I am not.
I don't mind the other dogs that live here but I'm not too crazy when they bark and get in my face. I don't react. I just walk away and find a lap to hang out. I'm better with smaller dogs vs the biggies. Cats, oh that's another story. Even though they are bigger than me I will bark & chase them. So maybe my new forever home will have no cats.
I've been around small kids and I didn't do so well with them. That's part of the story my foster Mom can tell you about. Teenagers I love. I know some people don't like Teenagers but I'm quirky so they are my people .... hee hee.
I'm potty trained and I will tell you when I got to go outside. I will also let you know when I want to come back inside. Right now, with the cold weather I'm not the biggest fan but really, who is?
I hope one day I will have a forever family that will understand that us Chihuahua's are quirky. We try to be Top Dog. I have to be told NO. I might give you those sad puppy dog eyes, but I know, you are going to be my Leader - just like what my foster family does.
Thanks for reading my profile and I hope we get to meet.
See you soon!
