Hello! My name is Bubba or you can also call me Bubba Bear. I got that nickname Bubba Bear when I came into my foster home the Teenager I first met let me hug him and he said "Mom, he's giving me a bear hug."
I was born on 5/31/23 and when I was 3 months old my family brought me to a kill shelter. I don't know why. I stayed in that shelter for 5 months. You would think "wow a puppy/adolescent is in a shelter I must be a wild child." Nope, I'm a really chill dude. Nobody really knows what breed I am. Shelter suggested a Beagle. My Rescuers think they are cuckoo because I'm tall, don't have those floppy Beagle ears and I'm very, very quiet. So, I am what you call your All-American Mutt!
From the moment I got off the transport van I knew I was in good hands because I followed the Teenager into the car.
I'm in a foster home that has other dogs that are like me - all looking for forever homes. The 2 resident dogs are teaching us the rules of the house and well maybe, we aren't learning as we just like to play. Not only did I get a Freedom Ride to a foster home - I got 2 girlfriends! Vanessa is my friend and she's also looking for a forever home. The other gal lives here all the time. She's telling us how great it is being in a foster home. At nighttime I go in a crate and before Vanessa came, I didn't like being on my own. I wanted to be in the Teenagers beds but a big guy like me hogged up the bed. Now, Vanessa and I share a crate, so we keep each other company while we get our zzzs.
There are cats here and I don't mind them, but I am curious about their litterbox. I know it's gross but hey, dogs do weird things.
Even though I spent majority of my short life in a shelter I am a really chill guy. I know a lot of things to do. I know sit, lay down, roll over, shake, drop it. I also know how to give you my puppy dog eyes that plea, "will you love me?" I know my foster family fell in love with me right away, but they tell me a forever family is out there and once they meet this cool dude they will fall in love.
So, what do you say? You ready to meet a chill guy that loves to play, take walks (I'm good on a leash), house trained and just want a lap? Well, all you got to do is fill out an application and the rest will be set up.
Cheers,
Bubba Bear
