I've found my furever family!

Hi! My Name Is Auggie

We're happy to tell you that Auggie has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Hello!  My name is Auggie and I am one years old.  As you can see by my trade colors and puppy dog eyes - I'm a Beagle.

I came up from TN on a van with other dogs that got their Freedom Ride because a foster home said YES.  Boy, I am so lucky I was rescued.  I was found as a stray, and I was really sick.  As soon as I came to Treasured Animal Rescue, they took me to a vet where I weighed barely 17#s. Turns out I had a nasty bacterial infection in my tummy, but I got a lot of TLC from my foster Mom.  She didn't think I was going to make it because I was so sick, but she stayed up with me all night telling me how special I am and that there's a forever family waiting for me.

Guess what?!?  All that TLC I got from my foster Mom and my doggie vet made me get better plus I gained some weight.  I am at my ideal weight of 28#s but you know us Beagle's love to eat so my foster Mom makes sure I don't eat too much.

I love to play with my foster friends, and we play outside in the backyard.  I like when the sun is shining because I get to explore my backyard.  Know how I explore my backyard?  With my nose; my Beagle nose.  I have my nose to the ground all the time and when I pick up a weird scent, I give a chirp.  I'm quiet in the house but outside - I'm doing what my breed is supposed to do.  But my bark sounds like a chirp.

I am house trained, and crate trained.  I get my meals in my crate, and I have learned the routine in my foster home.  I know when I get my forever family, I'll learn a new routine.  I whine when I have to go outside to do my business.

When I spent some time with my doggie vet, they made me do a test.  That test found out I am Lyme disease positive.  I guess somewhere in TN where I was living, I got bit by a nasty tick.  I'm taking medication that will treat the Lyme disease but it's not going to hurt me or is it contagious to other dogs.  My foster Mom can give you some more information.

I hope one day I get to meet my new family and I hope they have a fenced backyard that I can go exploring in.  Maybe my family will take me daily walks and rub my long silky ears.  Maybe I will have some little kids that we can play fetch with.  I don't know how I will do in an apartment or condo.

I'm ready to meet you!  Are you ready to meet me?  If so, just complete an adoption application (link below) and we can start our journey together.

xoxo,

Auggie
