Hi there! My name is Santa Monica and I am 7 months old. I weigh about 52#s and I'm still growing. I've got big paws and soft, curly hair. Some parts of my hair/fur are wavy. I'm a big cuddle stuffed animal!
I love to play - hello! I'm a puppy. I like to play chase with the other foster dogs here. They are about my size but a little bit older. We all play chase and when it's time to take a break we all sit or lounge around under the tree for shade.
I love to play outside, and water is my favorite. I help my foster Mom when she waters her plants. I get in the way so I can help with the water. Maybe I will have a kiddie pool in my new home or a sprinkler.
I am going to grow up to be a big girl and I can't wait to have a family of my own. I hope my family will ontinue to teach me all the things young dogs need to learn. I've learned so much while in my foster home and I hope one day when my family come meets me we go to puppy training so I can be the best gal in the world!
I'm really good with my potty training. I sleep in a crate at nighttime. I know the command "go kennel" or a doggie cookie gets tossed in my crate and in I go! I will whine at nighttime if I have to go outside and do my business. I'm also learning the bell system. I know when my foster Mom says the word "outside" we go to the back door. She touches the bell and one day one of us doggies will learn. I'm a smart girl so I will master this! I might give out a little woof or a whine but mostly, I'm a quiet girl.
I've also mastered walking on a leash and car rides. At first, I was terrified of that. But my foster mom put on her thinking cap and thought how can she help me learn more outside of my comfort zone and know what I get to do? Once a week I get to spend a whole day at doggie daycare. Sure, my foster home has doggie daycare with my foster doggie friends here but when I leave my comfort zone I get to meet new people, new dogs, walk on a leash and a car ride. I'm no longer scared of leaving my comfort zone and actually get very excited when I go to doggie daycare. I like when I get greeted by my new friends!
I'm fed in my crate, and I get so excited for food. I'm very food motivated so when it's time for me to be adopted & we go through puppy training to make me even smarter just bring the treats and I'm a Superstar in training! I'm so smart I know which crate is mine. See? Not only am I a Beauty I'm a Smart Cookie!
Can't wait to meet you!
Love,
Santa Monica
