Thank you for visiting Treasured Animal Rescue’s website for our adoptable pets. Please review each dogs profile so that you & your family meet the dog’s criteria. Before choosing this breed or breed mix, study the dynamics of this breed. Take time to ask questions.
Once you and your family feel you can meet an adoptable pet’s needs, please fill out our adoption application. Once reviewed our foster parent will contact you before setting up a meet & greet. Please note, some adoptable pets receive numerous adoption applications and our Volunteers/Board Members are making the best decision regarding our adoptable pets on their forever home. Please understand our response to your application will be as soon as possible.
Once a meet & greet is scheduled it will be discussed by our foster parent and decided what is in the best nature for the adoptable pet. I.e. neutral area and/or foster home.
After meet & greet, please take the time to make this decision. This life-changing decision not only affects the adopter’s household but the adoptable pet you’re adopting. Treasured Animal Rescue Board and foster parent will discuss the meet and greet and will render a final decision. Please note, this might be different from the potential adopter’s decision.
ALL potential family members involved in the adoption process must be present for the meet & greet and current family’s pet is present so that the match for all involved is crucial in the decision-making process.
Treasured Animal Rescue’s decision is based on what is best for our adoptable pet.
**Please note, Treasured Animal Rescue is not able to adopt out of the state of Illinois**
- Be at least 25 years of age
- Have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household
- Have approval from owner of residence (written in lease, no verbal approval)
- Be approved as a suitable foster home by Treasured Animal Rescue Board Members
- Be willing to foster the Treasured Animal Rescue dog until he/she is adopted
- Have approval from owner of residence (written in lease, no verbal approval)
- Provide structure, proper care (i.e. food, water, shelter) and basic needs while in their foster care
- Take to approved Treasured Animal Rescue vets
Be at least 18 years of age
- Under 18, must have a legal Guardian/Adult present at events
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household
- Have approval from owner of residence (written in lease, no verbal approval)
- Adoption payment cash and check only
