Hello, my name is Pepper and I am about 2 years old. I weigh 17#s. If you had to guess my breeding, I am a wired Fox Terrier mixed with Cairn Terrier. I say I am mixed with fun, cuteness and ready to play ball. I think I would have made a good Shortstop Baseball player!
I was found as a stray in TN and when my Rescue Angels saw my picture, well my picture of my silly ears, they said let's give her a Freedom Ride! That means I got put on a transport van and found my freedom from the shelter and into a foster home.
I am now in a foster home that has other dogs and cats. I am good with all but when I met one of the dogs, she's a biggie, I was a little nervous. Serena is her name, and we became friends eventually, but I was kinda scared because she's 3x my size. Now, we play tug of war and even though I'm a 1/4 of her size I keep up. I also have a BF in my foster home. Did you see pictures of us? His name is Chico and we are the same size. He's one of my "chase me" buddies.
I met some (small) kids and I was a bit nervous. I liked when they petted me and gave me treats but when they ran up to me and I got spooked I would bark at them. So, my foster Mom is saying no small kids or maybe just small kids that visit.
I love going for car rides and being held. My favorite is sitting shotgun and watching the world drive by. I love going out in the yard and I would love to have my forever home have a fenced yard. When I get excited, I do bark and my bark is high pitched. Maybe not the best for an apartment.
I am a real Lady and I'm house trained. No accidents for me. I have learned to go into my crate for my meals and to sleep. The rest of the day I hang out with all the other fosters. We watch our foster Mom when she's on the computer. She tells us there's a forever family waiting to meet us. We don't know what that means but we like sitting on her lap or under her feet when she is at her desk.
Someday I will have a family of my own. They are going to take me for walks or maybe a nice puppacino treat. If we get to go by car - I call shotgun! Nighttime I will curl up on your lap or on my doggie bed. It will be even nicer if I have a doggie friend. The weather is getting nicer and we can go for walks. I do get a little excited when I see birds and squirrels but hello? I'm a Terrier. It's in our DNA!
Can't wait to meet you!
